Wild open camp with 58 players

The Minnesota Wild opened its 2015-16 Pre-Season Training Camp with a total of 58 players — 31 forwards; 18 defensemen, seven goaltenders and two players who will start out on the Injured Reserve list.

Among those, that began preparing for the new season Friday (Sept. 18) at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul were 22 that impressed with their showing at the Prospect Tournament that wrapped up at Traverse City, MI earlier in the week.

The team held a practice and scrimmage open to the public Sept. 19 and began preparing for its first pre-season game scheduled for Sept. 22.
