Bulmer returns to Iowa

The Iowa Wild, top feeder team of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild announced recently Brett Bulmer would be returning for a third season in Des Moines and sixth season with the Wild organization.

Bulmer, a 23-year-old, 6’4,” 212 lbs. winger from Prince George, BC was selected by the Wild in the Second Round (39th Overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

He played one more season of junior hockey with Kelowna in the WHL and was called up to the Houston Aeros at the end of that season, although he never dressed for the team.

The following season he again returned to play in Kelowna, wrapping up his junior career with 53 games, but he also played nine games with the Wild and another six in Houston. He has played 14 games in Minnesota to date along with 145 with the Wild’s top feeder team — first in Houston and now in Iowa.

Last season, Bulmer played in 53 games at Des Moines, contributing 16 points (4g, 12a) and 50 penalty minutes.
