Admirals start 2015-16 preseason

Last spring the Milwaukee Admirals, top minor hockey affiliate of the Nashville Predators saw the longest streak of playoff  appearances in the league come to a close as it missed the post season party for the first time in more than a decade.

Tuesday (Sept. 29), the Admirals began its quest to start a new streak with the opening of its 2015-16 pre-season camp at the Milwaukee School of Engineering  where it held its first practice. In the days leading up to the Oct. 10 American Hockey League opener, the Ads will alternate between the Kern Center Arena at MSOE and the Bradley Center, home ice for the Admirals.

Most of the players in camp have aleady been in camp for the Predators, so work is well underway for the regular season which is only 11 days away.

The team will get some early prep done with a pair of exhibition contests, the first one Friday (Oct. 2) at the Kern Center against the Rockford Ice Hogs and continuing the following night on the road against the Chicago Wolves.

The Admirals will open the regular season on Oct. 10, also at Chicago. The team’s first home game will be Oct. 16 at the Bradley Center against the Charlotte Checkers.

Listed below are the group of 22 members of the Predators reassigned to play at Milwaukee so far.

Forwards – Kevin Fiala, Mikka Salomaki, Joe Pendenza, Felix Girard, Pontus Aberg, Vladislav Kemenev, Max Reinhart, Max Gortz, Frederick Gaudreau, Eric Robinson.

Defense – Conor Allen, Johan Alm, Trevor Murphy, Jonathan Diaby, Mikko Vainonen, Jaynen Rissling, Kristian Nakyva, Taylor Aronson, Jimmy Ogilny, Garrett Noonan.

Goaltenders – Marek Mazanec, Brandon Whitney.
