Storm adds Malinowski via trade

Kearney, Neb (Courtesy Tri-City Storm). – The Tri-City Storm has acquired defenseman Tony Malinowski from the Omaha Lancers for forward TJ Koufis and a 10th-round pick in the 2018 Phase I Draft, Head Coach and General Manager Anthony Noreen announced Saturday.
Malinowski was the Ninth overall selection in the 2017 Phase II Draft. The 17-year-old is a Clarkston, MI native and spent last season with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies U18, scoring 13 goals and 55 points in 83 games. He committed to Minnesota State in February. Malinowski stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds.
In the 2017 Phase II Draft, the Storm also picked forward Tyler Ward (7th overall) and goalie Filip Larsson (8th overall) in the first round.
Prior to his stint with the Jr. Grizzlies, Malinowski competed for Compuware U16 in 2015-16, notching two goals and eight points in 23 contests.
