Wings, Magicians will host NAHL Division final openers

All four North American Hockey League Division championship series will kick off on Friday.

The Best-of Five Midwest Division Series will start at 7 p.m. at the Richfield Ice Arena with the Kenai River Brown Bears as the guest against the Minnesota Magicians at Richfield Ice Arena.

The Aberdeen Wings, who went the five-game distance in its first round series win will start 15-minutes later at Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen, S.D. against the Bismarck Bobcats from North Dakota.

Saturday will see an identical schedule for all four teams. The same start times will be in place June 11 and 12, but the home rink will be the National Sports Center Super Rinks for the host Kenai River Brown Bears and the Bismarck VFW Sports Center for the Bobcats.

If the series go the five-game distance, the final games will be played at 6 p.m. June 13 in Richfield and Monday, June 14 at 7:15 p.m. back at the Odde Ice Center.

The East Division series also starts Friday with a 6 p.m. CDT start at Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston Maine as the host Maine Nordiques play host to the Maryland Black Bears. The South Division championship will start at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport, La. With the host Shreveport Mud Bugs hosting the Wichita Falls Warriors.
