Krug clips Wings in overtime.

Torey Krug‘s slapshot goal 1:58 into overtime lifted the visiting Boston Bruins to a 4-3 edge against the Detroit Red Wings at the Joe Louis Arena Saturday (Sept. 26) in 2015-16 NHL Pre-Season play.

The Wings never led the game and trailed 2-0 just past the halfway mark of the first period before Henrik Zetterberg notched one on a powerplay with his snap shot on a feed from Niklas Kronwall.

David Krejci scored both of the Bruins’ first period goals on his way to being named the game’s first star

Tomas Tatar pulled the Wings even with his tip in of a shot by Kyle Quincey in the opening minute of the second period, Danny DeKeyser also collecting an assist.

Brian Ferlin put the Bruins in front again late in the middle period but Jakub Kindl, the game’s second star countered with his goal 95 seconds into the final period, from Alexey Marchenko and Andy Miele.

The same two teams will play a rematch at TD Garden in Boston on Monday (Sept. 28).
