Jackets bring seven back to camp

The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled seven players Friday (Oct 2) previously reassigned to the Lake Erie Monsters.

Forwards Oliver Bjorkstrand, Alex Broadhurst, Ryan Craig, Sonny Milano , Lukas Sedlak  and T.J. Tynan all returned to Columbus along with goaltender Brad Thiessen, presumably to play in the team’s final pre-season games over the weekend.

With this move, the Blue Jackets roster increases to 38 players — 24 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders.

Anderson out for a month

The Jackets also announced today that forward Josh Anderson suffered an orbital fracture in the team’s pre-season game against Pittsburgh earlier this week and he is scheduled to undergo surgery to fix the issue. As a result of the injury and surgery,  Anderson is expected to be sidelined for about four weeks.
