Ice Hogs have 24 to open camp

The Rockford Ice Hogs officially opened camp with 24 players Sunday (Sept. 27) at the BMO Harris Bank Center with 24 players on the opening day roster.

The group included three goaltenders (Shane Owen, Mac Carruth and Mark Visentin) along with 10 defensemen (Patrick Koudys, Ben Marshall, Kevin Quick, Kirill Govtovets, Sam Jardine, Nick Mattson, Mathieu Brisebois, Dillon Fournier, Dennis Robertson and Nolan Valleau) and 11 forwards (Josh Brittain, Peter Schneider, Kyle Stroh, Casey Thrush, Daniel Ciampini, Chris DeSousa, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Dane Walters, Mike Liambas, Jake Dowell and Tanner Kero.

The Icehogs will practice at the same rink for the full pre-season and is holding a Season Ticket Holder Ticket pick up party on Wednesday (Sept. 30), followed  on Oct. 1 by a pre-season game against the Wild and the lone pre-season road trip, to Milwaukee’s Kern Center to play the Admirals the following night.

Icehogs will open the 2015-16 season Oct. 9 with a west coast trip to play the San Jose Barracuda.
