‘Fraser’ memorialized by NA3HL Championship title

The NA3HL’s Championship Trophy has been renamed to honor of the greatest league builders.

Robert ‘Fraser’ Ritchie succumbed after a hard-fought battle with Cancer earlier this summer, preventing him from entering his ninth season as Director of Hockey Administration for the North American Hockey League, NA3HL and NAPHL and he also worked as the HockeyTech and LeagueStat administrator, assuring the accuracy of league statistics.

Previously known as the Silver Cup, the NA3HL Playoff Championship Trophy will now be named the ‘Fraser Cup.’

Before coming aboard with the junior leagues, Ritchie was involved in both junior and high school level hockey in Dallas, TX in an administrative role. He mentored the youth as well, serving as President of the North Texas Hockey League in 2006-07 and he was named Volunteer of the Year for Youth Hockey by the Dallas Stars organization.

The first presentation of the Fraser Cup will take place on March 31, 2018 at the conclusion of the league’s championship tournament in Romeoville, IL.
