Strike one!

One of the biggest struggles to running this website/vlog/twitter updater/facebook page, is remaining consistent.

This is a dream of mine but as of this moment, it is mostly singular venture. Because of that, real life has a way of interfering with the progress of things.

If you are one of this site’s early followers, it has became obvious that the site it simply not up to date at this particular time. As I slipped further and further behind. Meanwhile, camera, well, more accurately, camera card issues have prevented Trent and I from doing our regular updates.

When I first fell behind, I planned to redouble my efforts and ‘catch up’ writing a week old article as if it was new and just bashing away at it until I found myself in real time again. That failed.

Unfortunatley, and hopefully, just this once — I am going to treat the past seven weeks as if it just simply didn’t exist. I am going to go from updating the Latest cuts from the Red Wings pre-season camp to updating and commenting on the team’s 22nd regular season contest — as if I have been doing that all along. Same with AHL, ECHL, SPHL and all of my junior leagues. I am going to try to add some College hockey coverage now — full in the knowledge the added workload invites yet another chance to start slipping behind.

This is not the first time I have been through this type of situation where best intentions to be up to date on everything have caused me to fall behind on this project that has been so important to me for the past several years. I am hoping it’s the final time, but in the back of my mind a voice is faintly calling — “You know it won’t be the last time.”

I am using my first mulligan since getting this site up and running. I apologize to everyone–mostly myself, for letting things get so far behind.

As of today — Nov. 23, 2015, I proclaim this site live and in real time.

I really hope it stays that way.
