Storm ‘White’ closes out Vegas camp with another win

Las Vegas, Nev. (Courtesy Tri-City Storm) – The Tri-City Storm completed 2017 Main Camp with its second all-star game, a 2-1 victory for Team White over Team Gray at the Las Vegas Ice Center on Saturday (June 17, 2017).

The Storm coaching staff returns to Kearney and Tri-City will select its 30-man Training Camp Roster in July.

Adam Goodsir scored the game-winning goal four minutes into the third, assisted by Nate Clurman and Adam Peck.
Team White Goaltender Jake Barczewski (13 saves) had an assist in the first half of the game and opposed Gray’s Joseph Sharib (17 saves). In the second half, White’s Harrison Feeney denied 18 pucks and Gray’s Connor Hopkins stopped 15 shots.
Barczewski was second in NAHL save percentage (.929) and third with a 1.94 goals against average for Janesville last season, amassing a 27-6-0-1 record.

Second-year forward Connor McMenamin (Gray) and returning defenseman Jace Foskey assisted on a snipe by Liam Connors to tie the game at one in the second. Connors, 16, is committed to Boston University and was the Storm’s second-round selection in Phase I of the 2017 USHL Draft.

Derek Contessa scored the first goal for Team White.
