NA3HL weekend preview — Sept. 11-13

While the Wooster Oilers and Cincinnati Thunder made their respective debuts to NA3HL league play in an all-East Division opening weekend, several other teams and divisions will get their respective seasons underway starting Friday night.

West Michigan Wolves will kick off its season with a Friday/Saturday pair at Jamestown, NY  against the Southern Tier Express who will stay on home ice following a disappointing 4-3 loss against the Wooster Oilers the previous weekend in overtime.

Other Friday night games will see the La Crosse Freeze traveling to the Oregon Ice Arena, new home of the Wisconsin Whalers while the Breezy Point North Stars open on home ice against the Twin City Steel.

Along with the second half of the Wolves-Express twinbill, Saturday will see the start of a trio of Saturday/Sunday matches as the Metro Jets make the trip to Pittsburgh to see if they can solve the 2-0-0-0 Vengeance, the Chicago Bulldogs will travel to the Owens Center in Peoria for the first of two against the Mustangs and the St. Louis Junior Blues will open a weekend set against the Nasvhille Jr. Predators at the Affton Arena. The 1-0-0-0 Wooster Oilers will look to stay undefeated with a home and away set on the weekend with the Toledo Cherokee. The Saturday game will be played at the Toledo Ice House while the Oilers will finally play its own home opener Sunday at Alice Noble Ice Arena.

Also on Saturday, the Minnesota Aces making the trek to Sauk Rapids to meet the Granite City Lumberjacks.
