Kovacs re-signs with ECHL Mallards

The Quad City Mallards, ECHL affiliate of the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves as well as NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights added another forward to its roster, adding 25-year-old winger Justin Kovacs from Grosse Pointe Woods, MI on Thursday (Sept. 7. 2017)

Kovacs also played last season with the Mallards, collecting 60 points (20g, 40) in 68 games in his second full pro season. The previous season say Kovacs playing in Kalamazoo where he collected 29 points (6g, 23a) in 63 games.

He completed four years at Western Michigan University in the spring of 2015, appearing in 129 games and picking up 76 points (23g, 53a), moving on to play the final eight games of the season in Kalamazoo.

Kovacs played junior with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the USHL and the Topeka Roadrunners of the NAHL.
