Iowa Wild opens camp

The Iowa Wild, top minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Wild began final preparations for the 2015-16 American Hockey League season at Des Moines Tuesday (Sept. 29)with 33 players in attendance.

Preparations will be quick with a Green-White scrimmage game tomorrow evening and a pair of exhibition contests against the Manitoba Moose to prepare for the season. Teams will meet halfway, in North Dakota with the first game at Grand Forks Friday (Oct. 2) and the other at Fargo the following night.

That will leave the Wild one week to prepare for its Amercan Hockey League season opener Oct. 10 against the Charlotte Checkers.

Listed below is the opening day of training camp roster for the Wild.

Forwards – Oliver Archambault, Jared Knight, Brett Sutter, Zach Budish, Brady Brassart, Grayson Downing, Zac Dalpe, Tanner Eberle, Zack Mitchell, Ruslan Fedotenko, Matt Carey, Raphael, Bussieres, Marc Hagel, Michael Keranen, Kurtis Gabriel, Matthew Neal, Christoph Bertschy, Mike Hoeffel.

Defense – Guillaume Gelinas, Zach Palmquist, Gustav Olofsson, Dylan Labbe, Maxime Fortunus, Alex Gudbranson, Mike Monfredo, Jake Baker, Kevin Gibson, Joe Finley, Brian O’Rourke.

Goaltenders – Adam Morrison, Leland Irving, Steven Michaelek, Brody Hoffman.
