FARGO, ND (Courtesy Fargo Force) – Former Fargo Force forward, David Gust, has signed a contract with the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League for the 2017-18 season.

Gust, a native of Orland Park, IL, recently graduated from Ohio State University where he played four years for the Buckeyes.

In his senior campaign, he was tied for second on the team in scoring with 41 points in 39 games notching 18 goals and adding 23 assists. Throughout his college career, he suited up in 126 games totaling 94 points (37g, 57a).

He made a return to his junior hockey town of Fargo in March when Ohio State was placed in the West Regional at Scheels Arena.

The forward played a total of 107 games with the Force from 2011-2013 where he scored 37 goals and 44 assists for 79 total points. He was a key part of the offense that helped lead Fargo to the playoffs for both of those seasons and all the way to the Clark Cup Final in 2013. The team eventually lost that series in three games to the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
