SAGINAW, MI (Courtesy Saginaw Spirit). –  General Manager Dave Drinkill announced Monday (Aug. 7, 2017)  the Saginaw Spirit have hired Troy Smith as the team’s eighth Head Coach in franchise history. “We are very pleased to announce that Troy Smith will be taking over as the next Head Coach of the Saginaw Spirit,” said Drinkill.
